Plumbing tips
Avoid the call you don’t want to make.
Most clogs and backups we’re called for start with something that never should have gone down the drain.
Do not flush
- Dental floss
- Kitty litter
- Anything labeled “flushable” (wipes included)
- Deodorizer bars on wire hangers
- Paper towels
- Cotton swabs
- Blue gel tablets (they clog jets)
- Feminine hygiene products
Do not pour down the drain
- Chemical drain cleaners. Harsh chemicals can ruin metal pipes and often make the clog worse.
- Cooking grease. Pour it in a can, freeze it and throw it away with your regular garbage.
Do this
- Install a water heater timer. It can save you a lot on your energy bill. Ask us for a current price.
- Schedule routine maintenance. Maintenance plans catch problems before they become emergencies.
