Backflow Bob, Inc. is Bay Plumbing Company’s division specializing in backflow preventer testing, certification and repair. Our certified professionals test, repair and maintain residential and commercial backflow preventers across Miami-Dade, and are familiar with every type of device.

Most Miami-Dade County businesses are required by County ordinance to have an up-to-date backflow preventer installed, and commercial property should have backflow testing conducted annually. It’s also a good idea for homes, especially older homes, which often don’t have an adequate backflow preventer.

Got a notice from Water & Sewer?

It’s not cause for alarm. The Water and Sewer Department often contacts property owners to require testing. It’s a routine procedure that makes sure no contaminated water enters your supply from outside sources. In most cases we complete the test in 15–20 minutes.

If problems turn up, we carry the equipment and material to handle most backflow maintenance and repairs on the spot. If you need a new backflow preventer, to replace a defective one or because one was never installed, we handle that too.

Backflow testing is not a job for do-it-yourselfers. It must be done by someone trained and certified in your area.
